1. Mohammad Irfan

At a colossal height of 7’1″, Mohammad Irfan is the tallest cricketer to ever play the game. After playing 4 tests and 60 ODI matches for Pakistan from 2010 to 2019, he now plays T20 franchise cricket. Irfan performed well in Pakistan tour of India T20 series. However, in 2017 he was suspended by PCB for failing to report miscellaneous approaches by bookies.

In his early days, he was criticized for bowling at a speed of 130 kmh. However, now a days he can consistently bowl to a speed of 140 km/h. Irfan represents Peshawar Zalmi in Pakistan Super League. In addition, he also plays in Caribbean Premier League and Bangladesh Premier League.

2. Joel Garner

Former West Indian Cricketer Joel Warner from Barbados, takes the 2nd spot on our list of tallest players in cricket. Before Irfan, he held the world record of most tallest cricket in the history. He was nicknamed Big Bird for his tall height of 6’8″. From 1977 to 1987 he played 58 test and 98 ODI matches for West Indies.

With economies of 20.97 in tests and 18.84 in ODIs, Joel is considered as one of the most effective bowler to ever play the game. He took 259 wickets in Test and 146 Wickets in ODIs. His International career also marked 7 fifers in test and three five wicket hauls in ODIs.

He is all time highest ranked ODI bowler. Joel has the ability to bowl devastating Yorkers to opponent batsman. He was inducted in ICC Hall of fame in 2010. Above all, he earns a spot of our list of Big Guys in cricket.

3. Peter George

5. Chris Tremlett

Former English Cricketer Chris Tremlett makes the 5th spot on our list of tallest players in cricket. With a height of 6’7″, he is one of the tallest Cricketers in the history. From 2005 to 2013, Tremlett played international cricket for England. During his career, he remained an effective bowler for England. However, back and forth injuries took him out from International cricket and he retired in 2015.

Chris Tremlett played 12 tests for England and took 50 wickets with two fifers. His ODI career also indicated 15 wickets in 15 matches. Tremlett recorded his ODI best bowling figures of 4/32 against Bangladesh in 2005 series. He was the tallest cricketer to represent England in International cricket. At number 6, we have former English Cricketer Steven Finn on our list. With a height of 6’7″, he is one of tallest cricketers to ever play for England. Steven Finn was the youngest ever cricketer to debut for Middlesex Country Cricket Club. He played 36 tests and 69 ODI from 2010 to 2017. He took 125 test wickets and 102 ODI wickets during his period.

7. Curtly Ambrose

Legendary West Indian Bowler from Antigua Curtly Ambrose also joins our list of Big sized cricketers in history. With a height of 6’7″, he is widely regarded as greatest bowler of all times. His tall height allowed him to ball at unsual height and it troubled the opponent batsmen. He was declared Wisden Cricketer of the year in 1992.

Sir Curtly Ambrose played 98 Tests from 1988 to 2000 and took 405 wickets at an average of 20.99. His stunning test career also records 22 five wicket and three ten wicket hauls. His best bowling figures in tests remained 8/45. Ambrose was equally effective in ODI format as well picking up 225 wickets in 176 matches. He recorded 4 five wicket hauls with a best bowling figures of 5/17 in ODI format.

8. Sulieman Benn

Former West Indian Cricketer Sulieman Benn earns the 8th spot on our list. With a height of 6’7″, he played International cricket for West Indies from 2008 to 2016. He now plays domestic cricket for Barbados. During his active career, Ben took 87 wickets in 26 test matches and 39 wickets in 47 ODI matches.

His Test career indicates six five wicket hauls with a best bowling figures of 6/81. With a height of 201 cm, he is 8th tallest cricketer in the history. Thus, he earns a spot on our list for being the most tallest spin bowler in the history of  cricket.

9. Jason Holder

At number 9 we have former West Indian Captain and present day cricketer Jason Holder on our list of Lanky Players in cricket. With a height of 6’7″, he attained number 1 on ICC rankings for all-rounders in 2019. Till now, he has played 49 tests and 118 ODIs for West Indies since his debut in 2013.

Jason Holder has scored three test hundred with a highest score of 202 in the format. He also records eight five wicket hauls and one ten wicket hauls in test format with the best bowling figures of 6/42. Holder is an affective all-rounder in ODI format, recording 139 wickets with 2 fifers and a best bowling figures of 5/27. In addition, he also holds nine fifties in One Day format as well.

He was named West Indies cricketer of the year in 2019. With a tall height, Jason Holders earns a spot on our list.

10. Tom Moody

Finally, Former Australian cricketer Tom Moody makes the last spot on our list of Big cricketers in history. With a height of 6’6″, he was nicknamed Big Tom for his big height. He recorded fastest fifty against Bangladesh in ICC Cricket World Cup 1999 on 28 ball during his career.

Tom Moody played 8 tests and 76 ODI for Australia and scored three hundreds from 1989 to 1999. He also accounts for 52 wickets in the One Day format. after retirement Moody coached Australia, Sri Lanka and Kings XI Punjab for few seasons.
